
NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.

Special Religious Education at Ariah Park Central School
Ariah Park Central School has a long history of providing Religious Education through approved Religious Organisations. Our parent and community volunteers provide this program coordinated by the APCAT group (Ariah Park Churches Working Together).

Primary students receive Religious Education once per week using the "Godspace" Program.

Our secondary students receive Religious Education once per month, following the "Thinkfaith Program".

Students are also invited to participate in Christmas, Easter and Education Week Services.
A parent/carer may at any time notify the school in writing that they do not wish their child to participate in SRE and/or Ecumenical Services. Students not attending are given supervised alternative meaningful activities.
